A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Gravitational field of a spherical perfect fluid

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
Analyzing the spacetime for a static spherically distributed perfect fluid we show that the smooth matching of the interior and exterior metrics for a realistic source is possible only for the distances from the origin that exceeds the photon sphere ...

Modeling and Analysis of MHD Oscillatory Flows of Generalized Burgers’ Fluid in a Porous Medium Using Fourier Transform

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
In this article, exact solutions of unsteady oscillatory generalized Burgers’ fluid are proposed for three different cases using Fourier transform approach. The fluid is electrically conducting under the influence of uniform transverse magnetic field and

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Numerical Analysis of Fluid Field & Thermal Field inside Large Wind-generator

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2010
According to the structure characteristics of large wind generator, a fluid-solid direct coupled model within the whole domain of the generator is established to solve the temperature field of stator and rotor, which based on the fundamental theories of ...

Dissipative charged fluid in a magnetic field

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
We study the collective excitations in a dissipative charged fluid at zero chemical potential when an external magnetic field is present. While in the absence of magnetic field, four collective excitations appear in the fluid, we find five hydrodynamic ...

Interferential Fields in a Fluid Medium

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Physiotherapy, 1983
Field interaction between two applied interferential fields has been investigated in a homogenous water medium. Previous published theoretical explanations of interferential beats by Nemec (1967) and Hansjurgens (1974) used very simplistic assumptions for slowly varying fields. This present study describes the expected beating patterns without recourse
