A New Ventilator Utilizing Fluid Logic
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1969The coming of age of "fluidics" (fluid amplifiers, fluid logic) has resulted in the application of this new technology to the construction of mechanical ventilators. The most sophisticated fluidic apparatus presently available weighs less than 5 kg and is 6 × 14 × 24 cm in size.

Publisher Summary Within a relatively short period— that is, almost since the beginning of their existence, electronics and semiconductor technique have penetrated the field of control devices and computing elements thoroughly. One is, therefore, likely to believe that computing is only possible because of the existence of these more or less recent ...

A Logical Approach to Fracture Fluid Selection
Journal of Canadian Petroleum Technology, 1982Abstract This paper presents a method of matching formation, rock and reservoir fluid characteristics to the properties of fracturing fluids for optimized stimulation treatments. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of the scanning electron microscope in formation characterization.

Liquid Jets as Logic-Computing Fluid-User-Interfaces
Proceedings of the on Thematic Workshops of ACM Multimedia 2017, 2017We present a fluid user interface that functions as a logic-computing input/output device, based on touching small jets of water. Tactile interaction occurs in two directions: (1) from the human to the device, where minute motions of the finger through fluid flow are sensed by a computer; (2) from the device to the human, where water pressure (or flow)

Fluid Logic Circuitry for Tree Planter Automation
Transactions of the ASAE, 1979ABSTRACT BOOLEAN algebra was used to develop a fluid logic circuit to control a tree seedling planter. A computer synthesis technique which results in logic circuit equations is presented. Use of a programmable controller for simulation is also discussed.

Two-phase fluid logic displays
Optics Communications, 1973Abstract Fluid logic circuits operated in a two-phase mode, in which the pumped fluid is dyed water and the ambient fluid is atmospheric air, form the basis of a new display concept. The necessary switching, storage and display functions are all performed by the pumped liquid moving through the fluid logic channels and the display chambers ...

Theory and Applications of Fuzzy Logic Controller for Flowing Fluids
2020Decision-making problems in warehouse risks, supplier risks, finance, management science, industry and engineering have been usually described by means of imprecision and inaccuracy. In order to deal effectively with these types of in-formation, it is a requirement to develop a formalism for handling fuzzy numbers and Z-numbers.

Fuzzy Logic Fluid Therapy Control System for Renal Transplantation
2006In this study, a fuzzy logic system developed to control fluid balance during RT by changing in blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR) and CVP value. Currently, the administration of intravascular volume is carried out primarily based on the experience and expertise of the anesthesiologist as there is no analytical method available to estimate the ...
