Gravitational Chern-Simons form and Chiral Gravitational Anomaly in Fluid Mechanics [PDF]
We show that the hydrodynamic of the perfect fluid admits a deformation that includes a chiral gravitational (or mixed) anomaly alongside the chiral current anomaly. The deformation introduces the gravitational Chern-Simons term and an analog of an axion in fluid mechanics, and features fluid spin-current and anomaly induced spin-orbit interaction.

Topological fluid mechanics of point vortex motions
Topological techniques are used to study the motions of systems of point vortices in the infinite plane, in singly-periodic arrays, and in doubly-periodic lattices. The reduction of each system using its symmetries is described in detail.

Toward Design Principles for Biomolecular Condensates for Metabolic Pathways
Biomolecular condensates are membrane‐less compartments found through‐out nature which can serve as reaction crucibles for biochemical processes. This review explores the design strategies underlying how condensates can be used in biotechnology to enhance multistep enzyme cascades including enhancement by mass action and substrate channeling, and ...

Fluid Motion Makes the Bottle-Flip Challenge Mechanically Unintuitive But Viable [PDF]
The bottle-flip challenge -- the upright landing of a partially filled bottle after tossing and flipping it in the air -- unexpectedly became a viral mechanics exercise. Through high-speed visualization, we evidence that fluid content strongly affects the challenge mechanics at every stage.

Elasticity of Diametrically Compressed Microfabricated Woodpile Lattices
Modulus–porosity relationship is derived for woodpile lattices with struts under diametrical compression. The formula presented here that Young's modulus is proportional to the square of the volume fraction E˜ρ2$E \sim \left(\rho\right)^{2}$ is shown to be consistent with computations and laboratory experiments on 3D‐printed samples.
