Einstein viscosity with fluid elasticity
We give the first correction to the suspension viscosity due to fluid elasticity for a dilute suspension of spheres in a viscoelastic medium. Our perturbation theory is valid to $O( \mathrm{Wi}^2)$ in the Weissenberg number $\mathrm{Wi}=\dot $, where $\dot $ is the typical magnitude of the suspension velocity gradient, and $ $ is the relaxation ...

Micropolar Fluids with Vanishing Viscosity [PDF]
A study of the convergence of weak solutions of the nonstationary micropolar fluids, in bounded domains of ℝn, when the viscosities tend to zero, is established. In the limit, a fluid governed by an Euler‐like system is found.

Viscosity of Quantum Hall Fluids [PDF]
The viscosity of quantum fluids with an energy gap at zero temperature is non-dissipative and is related to the adiabatic curvature on the space of flat background metrics (which plays the role of the parameter space). For a quantum Hall fluid on two dimensional tori this viscosity is computed.

The Relationship between Seminal Fluid Hyperviscosity and Oxidative Stress: A Systematic Review
Introduction: Seminal fluid viscosity is a key parameter to achieve fertilization. Viscosity is more frequently increased in patients with infertility. However, the mechanism by which hyperviscosity causes infertility is still poorly understood.

Bulk viscosity of molecular fluids [PDF]
The bulk viscosity of molecular models of gases and liquids is determined by molecular simulations as a combination of a dilute gas contribution, arising due to the relaxation of internal degrees of freedom, and a configurational contribution, due to the presence of intermolecular interactions.

Stability of plane Poiseuille-Couette flows of a piezo-viscous fluid [PDF]
We examine stability of fully developed isothermal unidirectional plane Poiseuille--Couette flows of an incompressible fluid whose viscosity depends linearly on the pressure as previously considered in Hron01 and Suslov08.

Viscosity in cosmic fluids [PDF]
AbstractThe effective theory of large-scale structure formation based on $$\Lambda $$ΛCDM paradigm predicts finite dissipative effects in the resulting fluid equations. In this work, we study how viscous effect that could arise if one includes self-interaction among the dark-matter particles combines with the effective theory.

Large Scale Features of Rotating Forced Turbulence [PDF]
Large scale features of a randomly isotropically forced incompressible and unbounded rotating fluid are examined in perturbation theory. At first order in both the random force amplitude and the angular velocity we find two types of modifications to the ...
