Nuclear Mechanotransduction Across the Metastatic Cascade: Decoding Spatiotemporal Heterogeneity in Cancer Dissemination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor metastasis results from complex interactions between cancer cells and mechanical microenvironments. We propose a “nucleus‐centered, cross‐stage mechanical signal decoding” model, highlighting how nuclear mechanosensors interpret forces at different stages.

Fluidic thrust vectoring of an axisymmetrical nozzle: an analytical model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerodynamics, 2012
An engineering-type analysis is proposed and used to investigate the performances of thrust vectoring by fluidic injection in the divergent of a supersonic axisymmetrical convergent-divergent nozzle. This method includes several approaches which consist mainly of a fluidic obstacle height evaluation and the prediction of the separation line that ...

Intrinsic Mechanical Parameters and their Characterization in Solid‐State Lithium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
This review focuses on the intrinsic mechanical parameters and their associated characterization in solid‐state batteries. The physical significance of mechanics parameters is introduced with exhaustive classifications by elastic, plastic deformations and fracture in bulk, adhesion, friction at interfaces, and mechanical fatigue in cells ...

ACTIVE FLOW CONTROL OF AN OVER-EXPANDED NOZZLE BY SHOCK VECTOR CONTROL [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Thrust vectoring obtained by the nozzle flow manipulation technique known as Shock Vector Control (SVC) is investigated numerically. In the shock vector control method, a shock structure is generated in the main flow by using transversal continuous ...

Transient modeling of extraction columns: Parameter estimation, uncertainty analysis, and operation optimization

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Despite extensive modeling efforts in extraction research, transient column models are rarely applied in industry due to concerns regarding parameter identifiability and model reliability. To address this, we analyzed uncertainty propagation from estimated parameters in a previously introduced column model and assessed identifiability via ill ...

A multiscale Bayesian optimization framework for process and material codesign

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract The simultaneous design of processes and enabling materials such as solvents, catalysts, and adsorbents is challenging because molecular‐ and process‐level decisions are strongly interdependent. Sequential approaches often yield suboptimal results since improvements in material properties may not translate into superior process performance. We
