This study tests NeuroD1 AAV‐based gene therapy in a non‐human primate Alzheimer's disease model. The therapy prevents neuronal damage, inhibits hippocampal atrophy, and reduces neuroinflammation. It also repairs vascular and blood‐brain barrier damage, restores cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers, enhances hippocampal glucose metabolism, and improves ...

Systematically Engineering for Efficient Production of 3‐Methyl‐1‐Butanol in Escherichia coli
An integrated metabolic engineering strategy was established for high‐level 3‐methyl‐1‐butanol biosynthesis in Escherichia coli. Molecular dynamics‐guided semi‐rational engineering of dihydroxyacid dehydratase uncovered and relieved key catalytic bottlenecks, while adaptive laboratory evolution enhanced strain robustness.

Control Laws for a Dual-Spin Stabilized Platform [PDF]
This paper describes two attitude control laws suitable for atmospheric flight vehicles with a steady angular momentum bias in the vehicle yaw axis. This bias is assumed to be provided by an internal flywheel, and is introduced to enhance roll and pitch ...

Studying Macromolecular Composition in Cell–Cell Interfaces Using 3D Membrane Reconstitution Systems
A comprehensive understanding of the interactions between proteins, lipids and glycocalyx components at the immune synapse is still lacking. Here, an artificial and a semi‐artificial model contact system were established to reconstitute the cell‐cell contact in 3D. The model systems enable the examination of macromolecule enrichment or depletion at the
