The influence of transport phenomena on the fluidized bed combustion of a single carbon particle [PDF]
The burning rate and temperature of the carbon particles are known to affect the efficiency of a fluidized bed combustor, and also the emission levels of undesired noxious components. The main results of an extensive study on the fluidized bed combustion

Oxygen and ROS Delivery for Infected Wound Healing and Future Prospects
Bacterial infection is a major driver of delayed wound healing and postsurgical readmissions; with rising antibiotic resistance, solid peroxide–releasing biomaterials offer sustained delivery of ROS/O2 for antimicrobial control and microenvironmental modulation.

Fluidization Quality of Fluidized Bed
This paper deals with the influence of the structure and shape of the vcssel and pipe line on the fluidization quality of fluidized bed as it is investigated by the author. The quality of fluidized bed was measured by means of non-uniformity index (fluidization index) proposed by W.W. Shuster. As the result, it was found out that the arrangements of the

A multilayered small‐caliber vascular scaffold combining electrospinning and 4‐axis printing is developed and biofunctionalized with marine sulfated polysaccharides from Holothuria tubulosa. The resulting construct exhibits enhanced hemocompatibility, tunable mechanical properties, and supports endothelial and smooth muscle cell adhesion and ...

Fluidized bed combustion of pesticide-manufacture liquid wastes [PDF]
Industrial liquid wastes can be in the form of solutions, suspensions, sludges, scums or waste oil and have organic properties. The objective of this work was to demonstrate the technical feasibility of a fluidized bed as a clean technology for burning ...

Fluidized bed modeling applied to the analysis of processes: review and state of the art
The fluidized bed is a technology that involves multiple phases, allowing for efficient contact between them, therefore it is widely used in the chemical industry, metallurgy, oil and thermal power generation.

Wound closure is governed by geometry‐orientation coupling: aligned fibers speed migration along their axis but hinder perpendicular advance. In vivo diabetic wound experiments with composition‐matched fibrin, combined with an anisotropic diffusion (biased random‐walk) model, quantify this trade‐off and generate a healing landscape.

Modelling and experimental validation of a fluidized bed reactor freeboard region: application to natural gas combustion [PDF]
A theoretical and experimental study of natural gas-air mixture combustion in a fluidized bed of sand particles is presented. The operating temperatures are lower than a critical temperature of 800 °C above which the combustion occurs in the vicinity of ...

Zinc‐containing bioactive glass (ZnBG) promotes diabetic wound healing by regulating macrophage extracellular traps (METs). Specifically, ZnBG reduces oxidative stress and inhibits the PAD4 and NLRP3/caspase‐1/GSDMD signaling pathways, thereby suppressing MET formation.
