Desulfurization of Coal in a Fluidized-Bed Reactor
The results of this study confirmed that it is possible to remove substantial amounts of sulfur from pulverized bituminous coal in a fluidized bed reactor operated at elevated temperatures. However, the removal of sulfur is accompanied by a substantial loss of volatile matter.
