Harnessing Non‐Covalent Protein–Protein Interaction Domains for Production of Biocatalytic Materials Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 11, 5 February 2026.
Non‐covalent protein–protein interactions mediated by SH3, PDZ, or GBD domains enable the self‐assembly of stable and biocatalytically active hydrogel materials. These soft materials can be processed into monodisperse foams that, once dried, exhibit enhanced mechanical stability and activity and are easily integrated into microstructured flow ...

Copper Single‐Atom Decorated Microfibrous Catalysts for Continuous‐Flow Reduction of Nitroarenes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 12, 9 February 2026.
Herein, a Cu‐single‐atom decorated, microfibrous catalyst (Cu1/CMF) is fabricated for chemoselective reduction of nitroarenes, demonstrating a superior processing capacity of 1.92 mmol mgcat−1 h−1 and superior durability (≥ 25 cycles) in a continuous‐flow manner.

A Machine Learning‐Driven Pore‐Scale Network Model Coupling Reaction Kinetics and Interparticle Transport for Catalytic Process Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 8, 9 February 2026.
Designing catalytic processes in porous reactors requires resolving coupled multiscale reaction–transport phenomena. We develop a machine‐learning‐accelerated pore‐scale dual‐network model with kinetics (DNMK), which captures reaction kinetics, pore‐scale transport, and reactor‐level behavior.

Neural network‐based offset‐free model predictive control for nonlinear systems

open access: yesAIChE Journal, Volume 72, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract This paper proposes an offset‐free model predictive control (MPC) framework for nonlinear systems modeled using neural network‐based nonlinear autoregressive models with exogenous inputs (NARX). To address plant‐model mismatch and ensure offset‐free tracking, the NARX model is augmented with an integrating disturbance model, resulting in an ...

On the Influence of Catalyst Mesopore Structure in the Catalytic Cracking of Polypropylene

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 2, February 2026.
Catalytic cracking is a promising approach to convert polyolefin plastics into hydrocarbons. Herein, the effect of catalyst pore size in polypropylene cracking using amorphous silica–alumina with identical external acidity, but varying mesopore diameters and particle sizes, is isolated. Mesopore size has minimal effect on activity, indicating that high

Highly Sensitive Dopamine Electrochemical Sensor Using Pt Nanoparticles on CNTs/Polypyrrole Nanocomposites

open access: yesElectrochemical Science Advances, Volume 6, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Dopamine (DA) plays a vital role as a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system (CNS), and its accurate quantification is essential for diagnosing neurological disorders. However, selective and sensitive detection of DA in complex biological matrices remains a challenge due to interference from coexisting biomolecules.
