Instability and the formation of bubbles and the plugs in fluidized beds [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2004
This is an review paper, particulary concentrate on results not many researches by reason that are explain in the text. We consider stability of disperse, two-phase flow (gas-solid particles or liquid-solid particles) linear and non-linear. In particular

Simulation Analysis of Mechanical Fluidized Bed in Adsorption Chillers

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
Adsorption systems are alternatives to compressor cooling systems. Apart from many advantages, these systems are characterized by low COP and SCP parameters.

Fluid-dynamic behavior of flaxseed fluidized and spouted bed

open access: yesCiência Rural, 2017
: Processing of particles in a moving bed, such as a fluidized bed or a spouting bed, is commonly used in the operations of drying, coating, and granulation of particulate systems.

Numerical Study of Wall-to-Bed Heat Transfer in a Gas–Solid Bubbling Fluidized Bed by CFD [PDF]

open access: yesمجله مدل سازی در مهندسی, 2016
Due to the effective heat transfer in fluidized beds, these systems have been wieldy used in many thermal processes. There are limited published papers in the literature regarding heat transfer in fluidized beds, because of complexities existing in these

Electromechanics of fluidized beds of nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2009
The electromechanical behavior of a gas-fluidized bed of insulating silica nanoparticles is investigated. When fluidized by gas, these nanoparticles form highly porous agglomerates of size of the order of hundreds of microns, which gives rise to a nonbubbling fluidization regime.

Establishing an Apheresis Medicine Program in a Resource‐Constrained Setting: A 5‐Year Experience From Lagos, Nigeria

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

A mass transfer in heterogeneous systems by the adsorption method ( [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Industry and Chemical Engineering Quarterly, 2009
A mass transfer coefficient between: a liquid and single sphere and a liquid and column wall in packed and fluidized beds of a spherical inert particle have been studied experimentally using the adsorption method.

Effect of Process Conditions on Fluidization

open access: yesKONA Powder and Particle Journal, 2015
The influence of process conditions such as temperature and the presence of fines on the fluidization behaviour of gas-fluidized beds is of major importance in industrial fluid bed processes, which are often operated at temperatures well above ambient ...

Normal‐Appearing White Matter Injury Mediates Chronic Deep Venous Hypoxia and Disease Progression in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore how cerebral hypoxia and Normal‐Appearing White Matter (NAWM) integrity affect MS lesion burden and clinical course. Methods Seventy‐nine MS patients, including 13 clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) patients and 66 relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients, and 44 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from ...
