Supramolecular Surface Functionalization of Single‐Walled Carbon Nanotubes With Conjugated Graft Copolymers

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Post‐polymerization modification of poly(tetrazine‐co‐fluorene) conjugated polymer via an inverse‐electron‐demand Diels‐Alder reaction (IEDDA) introduces hydroxyl initiators that enable surface‐initiated ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of lactide.

MXene‐Based Flexible Memory and Neuromorphic Devices

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
The unique two‐dimensional structure, excellent electrical conductivity, and diverse surface groups of MXenes have garnered significant attention. Coupled with their exceptional flexibility, MXene‐based devices hold immense potential for flexible memory and neuromorphic systems. This review comprehensively discusses the fundamentals of flexible devices,

Studies on Fluorene Derivatives X

open access: yesJournal of Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Japan, 1958
2-(4'-Bromobenzoyl) benzoic acid was prepared from phthalic anhydride and bromobenzene, then 3-bromofluorenone was synthesized after passing through several steps. This was converted into 3-bromofluorene-9, 9-dichloride, dechlorination of which yielded 3, 3'-dibromobis (biphenylene) ethylene.

Bioavailability of sediment-sorbed fluorene

open access: yes, 1996
The bioavailability of sorbed organic chemicals is a major concern in the application of bioremediation processes to contaminated sediments. Sorption of pollutants may lead to the inability of microbes to come in contact with the compound.

Ladderization: A Powerful Strategy for Controlling Supramolecular Helical Ordering, Amplifying Asymmetry, and Emerging and Enhancing Circularly Polarized Luminescence

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
π‐Conjugated chiral ladder polymers with enantiopure side groups exhibit helical ordering‐induced circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) in poor solvents and in the film state. Vapor‐annealed films show a particularly strong CPL with glum values of > 0.1. Blending chiral/achiral ladder polymers markedly amplifies the asymmetry in the film.

Ultrafast dynamics of fluorene initiated by highly intense laser fields

open access: yes
We present an investigation of the ultrafast dynamics of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon fluorene initiated by an intense femtosecond near- infrared laser pulse (810 nm) and probed by a weak visible pulse (405 nm).

Unraveling the effect of topological structures of B/N‐doped conjugated macrocycles on spectral properties: A computational study

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
Herein, we constructed a series of fully B‐doped, fully N‐doped and hybrid B/N‐doped conjugated macrocycles considering three key topological factors. At a fixed ring size, the spectra initially redshift then blueshift with varying B/N ratio, while ring size exhibits negligible impact on spectra.

Two-Photon Absorption Spectra Of Fluorene Derivatives

open access: yes, 2002
Two-photon absorption (2PA) spectra of fluorene derivatives was presented. A group of fluorene derivatives were synthesized in order to investigate the structure-property relationships of these dyes.
