Fluorescein Angiography

Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology, 2018
Fluorescein angiography (FA) is an imaging modality used to study the circulation of the retina and choroid. About 5 mL of 10% sterile aqueous solution of fluorescein dye (or 2-3 mL of a 25% solution) is injected in the antecubital vein. The fluorescein molecules excited by a blue light (465-490 nm) emit green-yellow light (520-530 nm) (Fig. 2.1).

Automatic interpretation and clinical evaluation for fundus fluorescein angiography images of diabetic retinopathy patients by deep learning

British Journal of Ophthalmology, 2022
Background/aims Fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) is an important technique to evaluate diabetic retinopathy (DR) and other retinal diseases. The interpretation of FFA images is complex and time-consuming, and the ability of diagnosis is uneven among ...

FLUORESCEIN ANGIOGRAPHY OF RETINOBLASTOMA

Retina, 1982
This study was undertaken to determine the fluorescein angiographic characteristics of retinoblastomas, to determine the effect of various methods of treatment of these fluorescein patterns, and to determine whether fluorescein angiography can be of value in determining the response to treatment.
