LUMINANCE OF FLUORESCEIN SOLUTIONS [PDF]
A study of the luminance of fluorescent light emitted by sodium fluorescein solutions of concentrations and thicknesses normally present in the contact lens fitting situation showed that luminance is directly proportional to concentration and to thickness.

Vesicular Zinc Promotes Presynaptic and Inhibits Postsynaptic Long-Term Potentiation of Mossy Fiber-CA3 Synapse [PDF]
The presence of zinc in glutamatergic synaptic vesicles of excitatory neurons of mammalian cerebral cortex suggests that zinc might regulate plasticity of synapses formed by these neurons.

Designing of Self‐Dispersing Soft Dendritic Microcleaners for Microplastics Capture and Recovery
The capture and recovery of microplastics from open aquatic systems is a complex problem, which necessitates nontrivial solutions. The principles of a comprehensive multistage process based on sustainably sourced microcleaners with hierarchical morphology are demonstrated.

Geometric multi‐bit patterning based on dynamic wetting and dewetting phenomena creates roulette‐like Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) labels with stochastic yet deterministic properties. This method leverages the solutal‐Marangoni effect for high randomness while achieving deterministic multinary patterns through polygonal confinement of binary ...

Intraoral Drug Delivery: Bridging the Gap Between Academic Research and Industrial Innovations
Intraoral drug delivery offers a promising route for systemic and localized therapies, yet challenges such as enzymatic degradation, limited permeability, and microbial interactions hinder efficacy. This figure highlights innovative strategies—mucoadhesive materials, enzyme inhibitors, and permeation enhancers—to overcome these barriers.

Transient Stiffness Patterning in Hydrogels Driven by Dissipative Mechanochemical Coupling
Force‐induced disulfide bond rupture in a polymer‐based hydrogel, coupled with chemical or electrochemical reoxidation, leads to the transient modulation of the hydrogel's stiffness properties. High spatiotemporal control is achieved by this dissipative process, enabling the development of out‐of‐equilibrium stiffness patterns and transient, dose ...
