Room Temperature Dy Spin‐Flop Switching in Strained DyFeO3 Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The two‐spin system DyFeO3, a canted bulk antiferromagnet with a spin reorientation between 40 and 50 K is epitaxially grown as thin film with compressive in‐plane strain. As a result, the spin reorientation increased by more than 20 K and a sign‐dependent linear M(T) dependence between 100 and 400 K is measured due to an induced alignment of Dy spins.

Laser‐Induced Structuring of Biocompatible Polymers for the Controlled Orientation of Multinucleated Myotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Laser structuring of biocompatible polymers creates precise surface patterns that influence cell organization. By imaging, contact angle measurements, and chemical analysis, this study demonstrates the ability of laser‐induced micro‐structured surfaces to guide muscle cell alignment. These findings support laser patterning of biopolymers as a promising

4D Bioprinted Self‐Folding Scaffolds Enhance Cartilage Formation in the Engineering of Trachea

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
A bilayer self‐folding scaffold, triggerable by humidity, is fabricated via 4D bioprinting for trachea engineering. An analytical model is derived to predict its radius of curvature, enabling its scalability. Cartilage progenitor cells seeded on the scaffold perceive scaffold final curvature and react to it, by enhancing the upregulation of pro ...

Single-shot two-dimensional nano-size mapping of fluorescent molecules by ultrafast polarization anisotropy imaging

open access: yesNature Communications
Molecular size plays a crucial role in determining the physical, chemical, and biological properties of substances. However, traditional fluorescence polarization anisotropy methods struggle to capture fast transient processes or provide plane-specific ...

Microfluidic Production of Ultrathin, Handleable Collagen Sheets Exhibiting Toe‐heel Tensile Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents a microfluidic wet spinning technique for producing ultrathin, templated collagen sheets with hierarchical organization at the microscale. The aligned collagen sheets replicate strain‐stiffening behavior associated with native cardiovascular tissues, sup cell attachment and contraction, and enable biofabrication of load‐bearing ...
