Strong and Fatigue‐Resistant Hydrogels via Poor Solvent Evaporation Assisted Hot‐Stretching for Tendon Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An anisotropic hydrogel (AHs) is prepared in this study. The strength of AHs can reach up to 33.14 ± 2.05 MPa, and it exhibits unique defect‐insensitive characteristics. Cracks can only deflect along the fiber alignment direction, demonstrating an interesting self‐protection function.

Assembling Hexahedral Supramolecular Nano‐Aggregates on Rice Wax Layer Matrices to Promote the Leaf Deposition and Bioavailability of Bactericides for Plant Protections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To address the problem of off‐target movement and low bioavailability of pesticides, two anisotropic supramolecular building units (BiTA18@β‐CD and BiTA18@γ‐CD) have been invented that can self‐assemble into nano‐sized hexagonal cuboids on the rice microcrystalline matrix. This manipulation realizes the enhanced utilization of bactericides for rice and

Confinement‐Induced Metastable Supramolecular Assembly: Dynamic Built‐in Electric Field Driving Deep Mineralization of Organic Pollutants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Utilizing the 2D confined space of layered double hydroxide (LDH), living supramolecular assembly (LSA) are successfully prepared with smaller intermolecular distances than in crystals. The IEF enhancement value can reach 11.8 times, which induces a charge separation efficiency of 71.52%.

Tuning the Organic Electrochemical Transistor (OECT) Threshold Voltage with Monomer Blends

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A novel approach is introduced to modulate the threshold voltage of organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) through the copolymerization of monomers with differently charged sidechains. We demonstrate that blends of water‐soluble tri‐thiophene compounds with anionic and zwitterionic sidechains form compositionally uniform aggregates at different ...

Realization of Non‐Equilibrium Wurtzite Structure in Heterovalent Ternary MgSiN2 Film Grown by Reactive Sputtering

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The piezoelectric and ferroelectric applications of heterovalent ternary materials are not well explored. In this study, c‐axis‐oriented epitaxial MgSiN2 films with the wurtzite structure are successfully grown on (111) Pt//(001)Al2O3 substrates by reactive RF magnetron sputtering at 600 °C under pure N2 atmosphere.

Organic Photo‐Responsive Piezoelectric Materials Based on Pyrene Molecules for Flexible Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
An organic, pyrene‐based non‐centrosymmetric crystal, PyPT, is introduced, showcasing excellent piezoelectric behavior with a high‐output electrical signal, rapid response time, and a substantial piezoelectric coefficient. The piezoelectric sensors demonstrate the ability to recognize physical sound characteristics ‐ such as amplitude, frequency, and ...

Controllable Antiferromagnetic to Ferromagnetic Transition of CrSBr by Organic Cation Intercalation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The phase transformation of antiferromagnetic CrSBr into ferromagnetic TBA‐CrSBr is realized by intercalating organic TBA⁺ cations into its van der Waals gap. The temperature dependence of magnetization unambiguously shows the typical antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic behavior for pristine CrSBr and intercalated TBA‐CrSBr, respectively.

Degradation Pathways in Lithium‐Ion Batteries with Ethylene Carbonate‐Free Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The choice of electrolyte solvent can significantly affect the oxygen loss at the Ni‐rich cathode surface. EC‐free electrolyte is found to suppress lattice oxygen release and reduce surface layer formation at NMC, resulting in improved capacity retention compared to conventional EC containing electrolytes. Abstract The development of stable electrolyte
