Chromosomal in situ suppression hybridization of immunologically classified mitotic cells in hematologic malignancies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Chromosomal in situ suppression (CISS) hybridization was performed with library DNA from sorted human chromosomes 8, 9, 15, 17, 21, and 22 on immunologically stained bone marrow cells of four patients with a hematologic neoplasm, including two patients ...

Thermo‐Fluorescent Bactericidal Quantum Dots Based Smart Multifunctional Textiles via Molecular Surface Engineering and 3D‐Printed Interlocked Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A versatile approach is presented for fabricating smart multifunctional textiles by integrating thermo‐fluorescent carbon dot/polymer nanocomposite coatings with 3D‐printed interlocked architectures. The fabrics exhibit temperature‐responsive fluorescence, durable hydrophobicity, strong antibacterial and antioxidant activity, and enhanced UV protection.

Testing the Potential Clastogenic/Cytotoxic Effects of Pesticide CALYPSO 480 SC

open access: yesFolia Veterinaria, 2017
The detection of chromosomal damage serves as a tool for the verification of the genotoxic effects of chemical substances in vitro. We used conventional cytogenetic analysis in order to test for the potential genotoxic action of the insecticide ...

Visualization of positive and negative sense viral RNA for probing the mechanism of direct-acting antivirals against hepatitis C virus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
RNA viruses are highly successful pathogens and are the causative agents for many important diseases. To fully understand the replication of these viruses it is necessary to address the roles of both positive-strand RNA ((+)RNA) and negative-strand RNA ((

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...

Painting of human chromosomes with probes generated from hybrid cell lines by PCR with Alu and L1 primers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Specific amplification of human sequences of up to several kb length has recently been accomplished in man-hamster and man-mouse somatic hybrid cell DNA by IRS-PCR (interspersed repetitive sequence — polymerase chain reaction).
