A newly developed fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) system has combined the high-temporal resolution of a streak camera with the high-spatial resolution of a microscope to obtain a two-dimensional distribution of fluorescence lifetimes within living cells. The temporal resolution is as short as 20 ps.

Applying image restoration to fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM)
SPIE Proceedings, 2009We describe a novel approach using 2D-intensity-deconvolution to improve spatial resolution in wide-field FLIM. The method maintains lifetime accuracy and can restore features within experimentally reasonable intensity ranges.

Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy
2019FLIO is based on Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM), which is used in basic science to investigate metabolic conditions in cell cultures and tissues. After excitation of fluorophores with a laser light, the fluorophore returns to its ground state by releasing light with a longer wavelength.

Three dimensional image restoration in fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy
Journal of Microscopy, 1999A microscope set‐up and numerical methods are described which enable the measurement and reconstruction of three‐dimensional nanosecond fluorescence lifetime images in every voxel. The frequency domain fluorescence lifetime imaging microscope (FLIM) utilizes phase detection of high‐frequency modulated light by homodyne mixing on a microchannel plate ...

Imaging Vacuolar Anthocyanins with Fluorescence Lifetime Microscopy (FLIM)
2018Anthocyanins are intrinsically fluorescent pigments that accumulate in plant vacuoles. We have developed a platform to analyze the fluorescence decay of anthocyanins by fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM), under in vitro and in vivo conditions. Fluorescence lifetime of a fluorophore can be influenced by temperature, pH, oxygen concentration,
