Oral Dosed Organo‐Silica Nanoparticles Restore Glucose Homeostasis and β‐Cell Function in Diabetes Rats

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An oral nanoplatform, MOP@T@D, which can maintain glucose homeostasis and restore islet β cells in diabetic rats is developed. It achieves efficient intestinal absorption and liver‐targeted delivery. The nanoparticle disintegrates only in response to hyperglycemia to release insulin on demand and provides antioxidant protection through selenoprotein ...

Dental fluorosis and urinary fluoride in 10-12 years old adolescents of Bushehr port

open access: yesIranian South Medical Journal, 2006
Background: Fluoride increases tooth resistance to dental caries, but mild toxicity due to excessive ingestion of fluoride can cause dental fluorosis. Drinking water naturally contains fluoride and is a major source of fluoride. In Bushehr port, drinking

Effect of fluroine content, atmosphere, and burnishing technique on the lubricating properties of graphite fluoride [PDF]

open access: yes
Eight different graphite fluoride compounds with fluorine to carbon ratios varying from x = 0.25 to 1.1 were evaluated as burnished films in order to determine the effect of fluorine content on the solid lubricant properties of graphite fluoride.

Electro-Oxidation of p-Silicon in Fluoride-Containing Electrolyte: A Physical Model for the Regime of Negative Differential Resistance

open access: yes, 2019
When Si is anodically oxidized in a fluoride containing electrolyte, an oxide layer is grown. Simultaneously, the layer is etched by the fluoride containing electrolyte.

Purcell‐Enhanced Spectrally Precise Emission in Dual‐Microcavity Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spectrally precise emission from broadband organic light‐emitting diodes is realized via a dual‐microcavity strategy. This architecture achieves narrowband emission (full width at half maximum, FWHM = 21 nm) with ultrapure color approaching BT.2020 by enhancing the Purcell effect via coupling of excitons with dual‐microcavity resonance.
