Fluoride release from a fluoride‐containing amalgam in vivo

European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1985
Abstract –Six test subjects using a low fluoride diet collected saliva samples each morning for 1 wk to determine the normal fluoride concentration. During the following 8 wk an acrylic plate, containing amalgam “fillings” corresponding to 6 MOD amalgams in premolars, was worn each night.

Fluoride Release from a Silicophosphate Cement with Added Fluoride

Journal of Dental Research, 1982
The fluoride release from a silicophosphate cement with added fluoride was compared to that from glass ionomer and silicophosphate cements. The fluoride-enriched cement was found to release four times more fluoride than did the glass ionomer cement and five to 15 times more fluoride than did the silicophosphate cement.

A fluoride release-adsorption-release system applied to fluoride-releasing restorative materials.

Quintessence international (Berlin, Germany : 1985), 1997
This investigation compared the initial fluoride release and release following refluoridation of three resin-modified glass-ionomer cements (Photac-Fil Applicap, Vitremer, and Fuji II LC) and a new polyacid-modified resin composite material (Dyract).

Evaluation of Short Term Fluoride Release from Fluoride Varnishes

Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry, 2012
Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the rate of fluoride release from fluoride varnishes over a 48-hour period and ascertain the time at which a plateau occurred. This data provides clinically relevant time points to resume tooth brushing after fluoride varnish application.

[Study of fluoride released from fluoride-releasing adhesives].

Shanghai kou qiang yi xue = Shanghai journal of stomatology, 2004
To study the fluoride release ability of two kinds of fluoride-releasing composite resin adhesives made in China.Test samples of fluoride-releasing composite resin adhesives I and II were prepared, and fluoride ion concentrations were measured with a No.720 fluoride ion-sensitive electrode.Fluoride ions were released from both of the fluoride-releasing

In-vitro fluoride release

American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 2008
I proposed a simple concept that “for the best treatment outcome, some patients need nonextraction treatment, some need extractions, and the key goal of diagnosis is gathering data on which to base this decision, not on which bracket to use.” Implicit in this “gathering data” would be new scientific research, including TADs and so on, but ignoring past

Fluoride Release and Recharge Ability of a Novel Fluoride Release Composite Resin

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
Objective: To evaluate the fluoride release rates and fluoride recharge capability of a experimental resin composite, a compomer, a giomer and a resin-modified glass ionomer cement. Methods: Ten disc specimens of each material were prepare and polished with abrasive paper, followed by clearing with oil-free compressed air jet. The specimens were placed

Fluoride release and uptake capacities of fluoride-releasing restorative materials.

Operative dentistry, 2003
Many fluoride-releasing dental materials are being sold on the basis of their cariostatic properties. However, the amount fluoride release of these materials is still uncertain. This study investigated the fluoride release and uptake characteristics of four flowable resin composites (Heliomolar Flow, Tetric Flow, Wave, Perma Flo), one flowable compomer

Determination of fluoride from fluoride-releasing elastomeric ligature ties

American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 1996
Unaesthetic white spot lesions or larger unsightly areas of decalcification around orthodontic brackets remain a significant problem during fixed appliance treatment. This study determined the in vitro fluoride release from 200 fluoride-containing elastomeric ligature ties. With the potentiometric analytic method, the fluoride release was determined in

Fluoride release from fluoride-containing liners/bases.

Quintessence international (Berlin, Germany : 1985), 1990
Five new visible light-curing cavity liners/bascs that contain fluoride were evaluated for fluoride release over a 17-week period. Fluoride was released from all the materials, but the level of fluoride release decreased significantly (P less than .01) over the test period.
