A mild and versatile strategy enabling the divergent synthesis of α‐fluoroamides and α‐aminoacyl fluorides from 2‐bromo‐2,2‐difluoro alcohols and amines is developed. The reaction shows broad scope and operational simplicity. Mechanistic and density functional theory studies support the formation of a putative gem‐difluoroepoxide intermediate ...

p‐Cu(OH)2/n‐SrTiO3 Heterojunction for Efficient Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production
Improving the efficiency of photocatalysts in the hydrogen evolution reaction relies on developing cost‐effective co‐catalysts. This study focuses on p‐Cu(OH)2/n‐SrTiO3 heterojunctions for efficient hydrogen production. 1 wt.% Cu‐based co‐catalyst significantly enhances performance, achieving ≈3.5 times higher hydrogen production compared to pristine ...

The Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry of Fluorine-18: Nucleophilic Fluorinations [PDF]
The positron-emitting radionuclide fluorine-18 plays a prominent role in radiopharmaceuticals for positron emission tomography (PET) due to its favourable nuclear decay properties. Depending on the production method, 18F can be obtained in two different chemical forms: electrophilic [18F]fluorine gas and nucleophilic [18F]fluoride.
