Fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose uptake in pneumonia.

Journal of nuclear medicine : official publication, Society of Nuclear Medicine, 1998
Whole-body PET imaging with 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) has been shown to be effective in distinguishing benign and malignant pulmonary disease. Mild elevations in FDG uptake with standardized uptake values (SUVs) less than 2.5 have been reported in benign lesions, including pneumonia.

Reference values for fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose and fluorine-18-sodium fluoride uptake in human arteries

Nuclear Medicine Communications, 2017
Reference values of fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) and fluorine-18-sodium fluoride (F-NaF) uptake in human arteries are unknown. The aim of this study was to determine age-specific and sex-specific reference values of arterial F-FDG and F-NaF uptake.Uptake of F-FDG and F-NaF was determined in the ascending aorta, aortic arch, and descending ...

Fluorine‐18‐ and iodine‐125‐labelling of spiegelmers

Journal of Labelled Compounds and Radiopharmaceuticals, 2003
AbstractSpiegelmers are high‐affinity l‐enantiomeric oligonucleotide ligands (aptamers) that display high resistance to enzymatic degradation compared to d‐oligonucleotides. Spiegelmers belong to the third generation of aptamers, and are currently extensively investigated as potential therapeutic agents.

Fluorine-18 in neutron-irradiated lithium aluminosilicates

Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry Letters, 1994
Fluorine-18 has been determined in neutron irradiated lithium aluminosilicate. This compound was obtained by a high temperature thermal transformation of Li-exchanged Y zeolite. Fluorine-18 formed in neutron irradiated lithium aluminosilicates was swept with a gas mixture of Ar with 0.1% hydrogen.

The potential of carbon-11 and fluorine-18 chemistry: illustration through the development of positron emission tomography radioligands targeting the translocator protein 18 kDa.

Journal of labelled compounds & radiopharmaceuticals, 2013
The TSPO (translocator protein), also known as the peripheral benzodiazepine receptor, is upregulated in the brain of subjects suffering from neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Huntington's disease.

Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of a Fluorine-18 Derivative of Dasatinib

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2007
Tyrosine kinases often play pivotal roles in the pathogenesis of cancer and are good candidates for therapeutic intervention and targeted molecular imaging. The precursor synthesis, radiosynthesis, and biological characterization of a fluorine-18 analog of dasatinib, a multitargeted kinase inhibitor, are reported. Compound 5 potently inhibits Abl, Src,
