The ultrastructure of fluorosed human dental enamel
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1974abstract— More than 80 specimens of enamel from 20 ground sections of eight teeth showing severe dental fluorosis have been examined in the transmission electron microscope. The study has shown that the prisms have normal size and form, but are surrounded by large periprismatic gaps. The individual crystals commonly appear in cross sections as regular,

The histology of fluorosed teeth
Archives of Oral Biology, 1961Abstract Teeth from a high fluorine district were investigated by transmitted light, by polarized light, by dark-field illumination, by microradiography and by routine histology after decalcification. Large areas of hypo-mineralization were found in the enamel, the prisms followed an irregular course and the arcade-shape of the dentino-enamel ...

Myélopathie cervicale révélant une fluorose osseuse
Revue Neurologique, 2008Bone fluorosis is a rare metabolic disease characterized by massive bone fixation of fluorine. It is seen endemically around phosphate mines in North Africa. Neurologic complications, such as medullar compression may rarely reveal the disease. We report a case of cervical myelopathy due to bone fluorosis causing tetraparesis.

BONDING TO FLUOROSED TOOTH STRUCTURE
Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, 2009In many continuing education lectures, I frequently have been asked the question “When bonding to fluorosed teeth, should I do anything differently?” As the prevalence of fluorosis has increased, this question has become more and more clinically relevant.

Improving the Appearance of Severely Fluorosed Teeth
The Journal of the American Dental Association, 1973Severe endemic dental fluorosis is esthetically objectionable. It can have a tremendous psychological impact on an individual. In consideration of the psychological makeup of persons who display antisocial behavior, one wonders if these defects might play a contributory role.

Comparative investigations on fluorosed enamel.
Scanning electron microscopy, 1980Structural observations upon fluorosed enamel were made on human teeth extracted from Nabeul (Tunisia). Longitudinal sections of enamel were made and microradiographed. Topographical observatoons in the S.E.M. showed alterations of the pattern of mineralization.
