Hydrolysis, aqueous photolysis and soil degradation of fluroxypyr

International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, 2013
The fate of fluroxypyr in the aqueous buffer solutions, natural water and three types of soil was examined under laboratory conditions. The hydrolysis of fluroxypyr was studied in aqueous buffer solutions of pH 4.5 ± 0.1, 7.4 ± 0.1 and 9.0 ± 0.1 at different temperatures (25 ± 2 and 50 ± 2 °C).

The fate of fluroxypyr in the soil in an oil palm agroecosystem

Weed Biology and Management, 2005
A study on the fate of fluroxypyr in Malaysian agricultural soils was carried out under natural conditions in an oil palm plantation. Three experimental plots in the oil palm estate were selected and three types of treatments were administered, namely fluroxypyr at the recommended dosage, double the recommended rate, and the untreated control. Residues

Soil catalysed hydrolysis of fluroxypyr‐methylheptyl ester

Weed Research, 1989
Summary. Fluroxypyr‐MHE (methylheptyl ester) was hydrolysed to fluroxypyr in soil/water suspensions at rates several thousand times that in distilled, deionized water at similar pH and temperature: the pH 7, 25°C half‐life in water was 454days, compared to 2, 5, and 5·5 hours in 1 : 100 soil/water suspensions of a Barnes loam, Catlin silt loam, and ...

Stereoselective metabolism and toxicity of the herbicide fluroxypyr methylheptyl ester in rat hepatocytes

Chirality, 2011
AbstractWe investigated the stereoselective degradation kinetics and toxicity of fluroxypyr methylheptyl ester (FPMH) in rat hepatocytes using a chiral high‐performance liquid chromatographic method. TheT1/2of (−)‐FPMH was about two times longer than that of (+)‐FPMH after the rat hepatocytes were incubated with 10, 20, and 50 μM ofrac‐FPMH.

Fluroxypyr Efficacy is Affected by Relative Humidity and Soil Moisture

Weed Science, 2007
Abstract An experiment was conducted in controlled environments to evaluate the effects of relative humidity (RH) and soil moisture (SM) on fluroxypyr efficacy on kochia and Palmer amaranth. Plants were grown in growth chambers with constant RH of 35 or 90 ± 5% and 28/23 C day/night temperature.

Tolerance of Foxtail Millet to Combinations of Bromoxynil, Clopyralid, Fluroxypyr, and MCPA

Weed Technology, 2009
When solid stands of foxtail millet are cut for swath grazing, the grazing season for cattle is extended and winter feeding costs reduced. The economic success of this practice depends on inexpensive weed control. Eight single- and double-rate herbicide combinations (g ai/ha) were evaluated and compared to a weed-free check: MCPA + bromoxynil (280 ...

SUSPENSION CONCENTRATES IN OIL OF SULFONYLUREAS AND COMBINATIONS WITH FLUROXYPYR OR OTHER AGROCHEMICALS

2010
Agricultural suspension in oil of Sulfonylureas and combinations with Fluroxypyr or other appropriate herbicides or agrochemicals are disclosed. The resulting formulations have improved stability regarding physicochemical properties of the formulation, as well as stability of the active ingredients allowing to make mixtures not yet available in the ...
