Metcamifen safeguards fluazifop for the gradual conversion of hybrid bermudagrass fairways to manilagrass

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 117, Issue 5, September/October 2025.
Abstract Golf courses throughout the southern United States have begun converting fairways from hybrid bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon × C. transvaalensis Burtt‐Davy) to manilagrass [Zoysia matrella (L.) Merr.]. Recognition (trifloxysulfuron + metcamifen) can be tank‐mixed with fluazifop to gradually remove hybrid bermudagrass during conversion ...

Determination of Starane (Fluroxypyr) Herbicide Using Flow Injection Spectrophotometry

open access: yesAnalytical Sciences, 2006
The starane herbicide was spectrophotometrically determined by the diazotization method in a flow injection assembly. Since starane is a substituted pyridyl compound the NH2 group at the p-position was exploited for diazotization. Starane was diazotized with nitrite and the diazotized product is coupled with beta-naphthol.

Producción de celulasas por cepas de Aspergillus niger y Trichoderma harzianum aisladas de suelos tratados con Fluroxypyr. Estudio preliminar I [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Debido a que en suelos con siembras de trigo tratados con un herbicida post emergente (Fluroxypyr), se observó en medios selectivos para hongos celulolíticos, una disminución de la frecuencia de cepas de A. niger y T.

Interaction of glyphosate with auxin herbicides for control of Benghal dayflower (Commelina benghalensis) at advanced growth stages

open access: yesWeed Technology
Auxinic herbicides are the second most-used herbicides in Brazil, and are often combined with glyphosate in pre-plant burndowns management. However, efficacy of these herbicides against Benghal dayflower at advanced growth stages remains poorly ...

EFFICIENCY EVALUATION OF FLUROXYPYR IN MAIZE CROP

open access: yes, 2011
In the period 2009-20010, efficiency tests in maize crop were carried out with the aim of monitoring of fluroxypyr efficiency in control of broadleaved weed species. Trial was set up at two sites and test type was randomized bloc design. Applications of herbicides were performed in the phase of 3-6 leaves of maize.

Field efficacy of a bioherbicide mimic (DiS‐NH2) in a nanoparticle formulation for weed control in durum wheat

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 7, Page 3796-3810, July 2025.
A new polymeric nanoparticle formulation containing aminophenoxazinone DiS‐NH2 (2,2′‐disulfanediyldianiline) is proposed as a post‐emergence and contact bioherbicide for weed management in durum wheat. Abstract BACKGROUND Weed‐resistance phenomena have increased dramatically in recent years. Bioherbicides can offer a sustainable alternative to chemical

Efficacy of weed control for opium poppy (Papaver somniferum L.) with a mixture of tembotrione and fluroxypyr [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The study was carried out in the years 2013 and 2014 at the Łagiewniki farm to determine the effect of some herbicides on the yield and development of two opium poppy cultivars: ‘Lazur’ - with high morphine content, and ‘Borowski Biały’ - with low ...

Assessing herbicides for Japanese stiltgrass (Microstegium vimineum) control in cool-season turfgrass

open access: yesWeed Technology
Japanese stiltgrass is one of the most troublesome invasive weed species in the eastern United States. Strategies for controlling the weed in managed lawns are limited because most previous research was conducted in forest understories or on golf course ...

RESPONSE OF MAIZE AND ASSOCIATED WEEDS TO SOME POST·EMERGENCE HERBICIDES [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Plant Production, 2004
Two field experiments were conducted at the Experimental Farm of National Research Centre at Shalakan, Kalubia Governorate, Egypt, through two successive seasons of 2002 and 2003, to study the effect of some post-emergence herbicides on maize plants ...
