Experimental Classical Flutter Reesults of a Composite Advanced Turboprop Model [PDF]

open access: yes
Experimental results are presented that show the effects of blade pitch angle and number of blades on classical flutter of a composite advanced turboprop (propfan) model.

Mechanical Spin Waves in a Nonlocal Discrete Magnetoelastic Lattice with Negative Group Velocity

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
A discrete magnetoelastic lattice enables mechanical spin waves. The zigzag‐arranged lattice consists of repulsive magnets. The top and bottom rows of the zigzag lattice show opposite spin directions. These spin waves arise due to the coupling between longitudinal and transverse motions.

Spexin in the European sea bass, Dicentrarchus labrax: Characterization, brain distribution, and interaction with Gnrh and Gnih neurons

open access: yesJournal of Comparative Neurology, Volume 531, Issue 2, Page 314-335, February 2023., 2023
The main objective of this work was to obtain detailed information on the distribution and localization of the spexin (Spx) system in the sea bass brain. To this purpose, we first identified and characterized the spx1 gene and analyzed its expression in the central nervous system (CNS) of the European sea bass by using quantitative Real‐Time Polymerase

Flutter of panels on discrete flexible supports [PDF]

open access: yes
The supersonic flutter of wide panels on discrete flexible supports is investigated for three different panel-support configurations. The first study examines the effect of support stiffness on the flutter behavior of a specific five-support ...

Synapsids and sensitivity: Broad survey of tetrapod trigeminal canal morphology supports an evolutionary trend of increasing facial tactile specialization in the mammal lineage

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The trigeminus nerve (cranial nerve V) is a large and significant conduit of sensory information from the face to the brain, with its three branches extending over the head to innervate a wide variety of integumentary sensory receptors, primarily tactile.

Morphology and function of pinniped necks: The long and short of it

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Terrestrial vertebrates from at least 30 distinct lineages in both extinct and extant clades have returned to aquatic environments. With these transitions came numerous morphological adaptations to accommodate life in water. Relatively little attention has been paid to the cervical region when tracking this transition.

Evaluation of Deutetrabenazine's Potential to Delay Cardiac Repolarization Using Concentration‐QTc Analysis

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology in Drug Development, Volume 12, Issue 1, Page 94-106, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Deutetrabenazine (Austedo) is indicated in adults for chorea associated with Huntington disease and tardive dyskinesia. Escalating deutetrabenazine doses were administered to healthy volunteers who were cytochrome P450 2D6 extensive/intermediate metabolizers (EMs) or poor metabolizers (PMs) to determine pharmacokinetic exposure of parent drug ...
