Risk Factors for Myocardial Injury During Cardio‐Pulmonary Bypass‐Assisted Heart Surgery: A Retrospective Single‐Center Study

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 10, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Myocardial injury is a significant contributor to 30‐day mortality after cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass. We aimed to investigate the association between mean arterial pressure, norepinephrine use during the aorta cross‐clamp period, and aorta cross‐clamp duration with myocardial injury during cardiopulmonary bypass ...

Cardiovascular Toxicity Associated With Bispecific Antibodies in Hematological Malignancies: A Comprehensive Pharmacovigilance Analysis

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 10, Page 2546-2556, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Cardiovascular adverse events (CVAEs) associated with bispecific T‐cell engaging antibodies (BsAbs) have not been systematically investigated across approved agents. In this disproportionality analysis of FAERS (December 2014–September 2025), reports listing BsAbs as the primary suspected drug (n = 7647) were compared with all other drugs in ...

Comparison of Methods for Incorporating Related Data When Developing Clinical Prediction Models: A Simulation Study

open access: yesBiometrical Journal, Volume 68, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Clinical Prediction Models (CPMs) compute an individual's risk of an outcome, given a set of predictors. Guidance states CPMs should be constructed using data sampled from the target population. However, researchers might have access to ancillary data sets from different time points, countries, or healthcare settings, which could support model

Active control for flutter suppression: an experimental investigation

open access: yes, 2013
This paper describes an experimental study involving the implementation of the method of receptances to control binary flutter in a wind-tunnel aerofoil rig. The aerofoil and its suspension were designed as part of the project.

Reliability of Time-Linearized Flutter Predictions Near the Surge Line [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In the context of the flutter analysis of a modern transonic axial compressor two different CFD codes have been compared: based on the same three-dimensional steady solution, the timelinearized Navier-Stokes flow solver TRACE of the German Aerospace ...

Glucagon‐Like Peptide‐1 Agonists and the Incidence of Atrial Fibrillation in Obese Patients With Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction and No Diabetes

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Among obese, non‐diabetic patients with HFpEF, GLP‐1 RA therapy was not significantly associated with incident atrial fibrillation but was associated with lower all‐cause mortality. Prospective studies are needed to clarify the potential role of GLP‐1 RAs in AF prevention. ABSTRACT Background Glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1 RAs) reduce

Influência da dispersao da refratariedade atrial e do distúrbio da conduçao atrial na induçao de fibrilaçao ou flutter atrial em indivíduos com síndrome de Wolff-Parkinson-White*,**

open access: yesJournal of Cardiac Arrhythmias, 1992

Association Between the Change in Interleukin‐6 Levels and Early Recurrence of Atrial Fibrillation: A Comparison of Pulsed Field Ablation and Radiofrequency Ablation

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Despite causing greater myocardial injury and hemolysis, pulsed field ablation induces significantly less systemic inflammation than radiofrequency ablation. This reduced inflammatory response is independently associated with a lower incidence of early atrial fibrillation recurrence.

Association Between Temperature Management Using Passive Thermal Insulation and a Modified Aldrete Score During Cryoablation of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation Under General Anesthesia

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
This study demonstrated that the Δ in core temperature was significantly lower in the Blanket (blue bar) group than in the Control (red bar) group and the passive thermal insulation using heat insulation blankets significantly decreased the rate of hypothermia‐induced unsuccessful early recovery from general anesthesia from 64% to 37%.

Clinical Vulnerability Refines Rhythm‐Related Outcomes in Older Patients Undergoing Pulmonary Vein Isolation for Atrial Fibrillation: An Observational Cohort Study

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
In patients undergoing pulmonary vein isolation, age ≥ 75 years was associated with greater recurrence‐related rhythm intervention. However, outcomes varied markedly among older adults. A simple score incorporating persistent AF, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, and valve disease identified elderly patients with low or high clinical vulnerability.
