汶川地震河流阶地建筑物的震害机制研究

open access: yesDizhen xuebao

Forest Structure and Maintenance Mechanisms of Montane Riparian Forests Under Extreme Snowfall in the Cool‐Temperate Zone of Western Fukushima, Japan

open access: yesPlant Species Biology, Volume 41, Issue 2, March 2026.
In extreme heavy snowfall environments (maximum snow depth of 5 m), dominant species such as Pterocarya rhoifolia and Aesculus turbinata exhibited different survival strategies—sprouting, dwarfing, and layering—compared to their tall forms in heavy snowfall areas (maximum 2 m).

Investigation of the relationships between basin morphology, tectonic uplift, and denudation from the study of an active fold belt in the Siwalik Hills, central Nepal [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The present study investigates correlations between an extensive range of geomorphic properties that can be estimated from a digital elevation model and the uplift rate on geological timescales.

Depositional Interplay Between the Ancestral Rocky Mountains and Ouachita–Marathon–Sonora Orogenies: Insights From Provenance Records in the Late Palaeozoic Marfa Basin, West Texas, USA

open access: yesBasin Research, Volume 38, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Provenance records from the late Palaeozoic Marfa Basin in West Texas reveal the transition from the Ancestral Rocky Mountains to the Ouachita–Marathon–Sonora orogenies during the early Permian in SW Laurentia. ABSTRACT The Marfa Basin in West Texas is a late Palaeozoic synorogenic depocenter associated with regional deformation linked to the Ancestral

Holocene Palaeoenvironmental change at the mouth of Sabarmati River, Gulf of Khambhat, Western India

open access: yesQuaternary Environments and Humans
The fluvio-marine archives have been widely used to assess the imprints of land-sea interaction during the Holocene period, which has been enigmatic in terms of changes in environmental conditions. To comprehend the fluvial-marine interactions during the

X‐ray computed tomography study of terrestrial analog cores in preparation for Mars sample return

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 3, Page 405-426, March 2026.
Abstract Mars Sample Return (MSR) is expected to transform planetary science by providing unprecedented access to pristine Martian material. Initial characterization in the sample receiving facility (SRF) will rely on nondestructive techniques such as X‐ray computed tomography (XCT) to document the condition, distribution, and internal features of ...

Discovery of sediment indicating rapid lake-level fall in the late Pleistocene Gokarna Formation, Kathmandu Valley, Nepal: implication for terrace formation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Sediment indicating a rapid fall in lake level has been discovered in the late Pleistocene Gokarna Formation, Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. The indicator is observed along a widely traceable erosional surface in this formation, and is characterized by (1 ...
