Soldering Fluxes and Flux Principles
1957Much has been written about fluxes but when Western Union desired to utilize these written data, they appeared to consist of diverse and disconnected items and Western Union could find no basic principles upon which it could rely in solving a serious problem of soldering in electrical circuits.

A graphical model of interactive systems called bigraphs is introduced, resting on the orthogonal treatment of connectivity and locality. The model will be shown to underlie several calculi for mobile systems, in particular the π-calculus and the ambient calculus. Its core behavioural theory will be outlined.

Fluxes and Flux-Conjugate Stresses
2004The work presented here is concerned with stress theory on differentiable manifolds. In addition to the theoretical interest as to the geometrical structure needed for the formulation of stress theory, such a general geometrical setting is used in theories of materials with microstructure to model the space where the “order parameters” are valued (see [
