Geometry of heterotic flux compactifications
This thesis delves into recent developments in the study of flux compactifications of the heterotic string theory. We primarily focus on four-dimensional Minkowski compactifications with spacetime supersymmetry, whose underlying six-dimensional geometries are, in the presence of torsion, non-Kähler SU(3) structure manifolds.
