Study of Manganese and Phosphoric Acid on Dimensionally Stable Anodes During Zinc Electrowinning

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Study on the effect of dimensionally stable anodes replace of Pb–Ag alloy anode during zinc deposition. Adding phosphoric acid to the electrolyte to complex the manganic Mn3+ ion. Phosphoric acid leads to improve the performance of dimensionally stable anodes during zinc electrolysis.

Evaluation of the Corrosion Resistance of Heat Resistant Cast Alloys in Ammonia Containing Atmospheres: The Role of Oxide Scales

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Application of centrifugally cast alloys during Ammonia Cracking in ammonia containing atmospheres at high temperatures (up to 900°C) induces corrosion by means of nitridation. The mechanisms of material degradation are not reliably understood yet. This article focuses on the identification of corrosion mechanisms for Cr‐Ni‐Fe‐ and Cr‐Ni‐Fe‐Al cast ...

Fabrication of Multifunctional Nanofiber Mats by Emulsion Electrospinning of TPU/Fish Skin Gelatin Incorporating Plant Extract‐Based Therapeutic Oil for Wound Dressing Applications

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study not only combines TPU with fish skin gelatin (FSG) and H. perforatum oil (HPO) through emulsion electrospinning for the first time, but also reduces the TPU fiber diameter, which is crucial for enhancing wound healing. Overall results indicate that this combination can enhance wound healing and antimicrobial efficancy, making the resulting ...

3D Freeze‐Printing of Binder‐Free PEDOT:PSS

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
We present a 3D freeze‐printing strategy for PEDOT:PSS with DMSO, achieving over 350% conductivity enhancement through freezing‐induced polymer reorganization. This mild process avoids harsh and lengthy pre‐ and post‐processing steps, including thermal annealing, thus enabling direct printing onto thermally sensitive substrates like alginate hydrogels,

A Biofunctional Hydrogel/Nanofiber Bilayer Scaffold Delivering EGF and TGFβ3 for Advanced Nasal Tissue Reconstruction

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study develops a biomimetic bilayer scaffold based on gelatin methacryloyl‐ciprofloxacin/polycaprolactone‐collagen (GelMA‐CIP/PCL‐COL), designed to release EGF and TGFβ3 in a controlled manner. The GelMA‐CIP@PVA‐EGF/PCL‐COL@PVA‐TGFβ3 scaffold currently demonstrates sustained delivery of growth factors for 28 days, mechanical properties similar to ...
