Study on Amplitude and Frequency Characteristics of Magnetic Flux in Three‐Dimensional Wound Core Transformer

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
In order to deeply study the mathematical model and amplitude‐frequency characteristics of the split‐frame flux and composite flux of a three‐dimensional wound core transformer. Firstly, based on the phasor relationship between the composite flux and the

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Measuring two-dimensional heat flux using a plate sensor and infrared thermography

open access: yesMethodsX
The thin-skin calorimeter sensor is used to measure heat flux. This device is limited to measurements at a single physical location. A new method, denoted HFITS, has been developed to obtain heat flux measurements over a two-dimensional surface.

Scattering theory for subcritical wave equation with inverse square potential

open access: yes, 2020
We consider the scattering theory for the defocusing energy subcritical wave equations with an inverse square potential. By employing the energy flux method of [37], [38] and [41], we establish energy flux estimates on the light cone.

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Flux-conserving finite element methods

open access: yes, 2012
We analyze the flux conservation property of the finite element method. It is shown that the finite element solution does approximate the flux locally in the optimal order, i.e., the same order as that of the nodal interpolation operator. We propose two methods, post-processing the finite element solutions locally.

Active Flux Methods for Hyperbolic Systems Using the Method of Bicharacteristics

open access: yesJournal of Scientific Computing
The Active Flux method is a third order accurate finite volume method for hyperbolic conservation laws, which is based on the use of point values as well as cell average values of the conserved quantities. The resulting method is fully discrete and has a

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Perspectives in educating molecular pathologists on liquid biopsy: Toward integrative, equitable, and decentralized precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Liquid biopsy enables minimally invasive, real‐time molecular profiling through analysis of circulating biomarkers in biological fluids. This Perspective highlights the importance of training pathologists through integrative educational programs, such as the European Masters in Molecular Pathology, to ensure effective and equitable implementation of ...
