Closed-Loop Flux-Weakening Control of Hybrid-Excitation Synchronous Machine Drives
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2017This paper presents a closed-loop flux-weakening controller for hybrid-excitation synchronous machine drives based on separate regulation of amplitude and phase angle of the armature voltage. Operating point analysis is carried out to investigate the dynamic properties of the drive and to give guidelines in the tuning of the controller.

Design and Control of an Axial Flux Machine for a Wide Flux-Weakening Operation Region
2007 IEEE Industry Applications Annual Meeting, 2007This paper describes the strategy to design and control of an axial flux SPM machine for achieving a wide flux-weakening operating region. By using a slotted stator with fractional slot windings and additional cores enclosing end windings, the axial flux machine satisfies the specification of a wide constant power speed range.

Voltage feedback based flux-weakening control of IPMSMs with fuzzy-PI controller
International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, 2020As the traditional flux-weakening control strategies have some limitations, such as poor parameter robustness, non-ideal dynamic performance in the constant power region and so on, a new control strategy based on the formula-based feedforward control and the voltage feedback control is proposed. In this strategy, the given reference values of the flux-

Research on Flux Weakening Speed Control Strategy for PMSM
2017Electronic assisted brake systems require permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) to work in a larger speed range, and to maintain a certain ability to resist load disturbance. In this paper, the mathematical model of PMSM and the flux weakening control theory are analyzed at first.

Simulation of flux-weakening control of PMSM for electrical vehicle
2014 17th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2014Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) gains popularity in the driving system of electrical vehicle because of its properties such as small volume, high efficiency and high power density. But, for the flux is excited by the permanent magnet, we cannot enhance rotating speed by decreasing the exciting flux linkage when the speed is bigger than based ...

Speed Sensorless Vector Controlled Induction Machine in Flux Weakening Region
IECON 2006 - 32nd Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2006The aim of this paper is to examine iron losses and magnetic saturation effect in sensorless vector control of induction machines. First of all, an approach to induction machine modelling and vector control scheme, which account for both iron loss and saturation, is presented. Then, a model reference adaptive system (MRAS) speed estimator is developed.

Flux Weakening Operation of PMSM with Hysteresis PWM Current Controller
2017 14th IEEE India Council International Conference (INDICON), 2017A Field Oriented Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with flux weakening control using hysteresis PWM current controller is analyzed in this paper. Effective control approach is essential for designing a high performance drive. The maximum speed in flux-weakening approach is possible more than 2 times the base speed.

Sub-Optimal Flux-Weakening Control of Synchronous Reluctance Motors
2024 International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM)This paper deals with the control of the synchronous reluctance motors in the flux-weakening operating range. Given the difficulties of implementing truly optimal control strategies, sub-optimal solutions, which require minimal parametrization and set-up efforts, are proposed and experienced.
