A Hybrid Boost–Flyback/Flyback Microinverter for Photovoltaic Applications

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2020
For photovoltaic applications, the flyback microinverter with pseudo-dc-link is popular as a simple topology but brings large transformer turns ratio and thus large leakage inductance, which would deteriorate the converter efficiency. To solve this issue, based on the nonisolated pseudo-dc-link structure, this paper proposed a hybrid boost–flyback ...

Fuzzy FDI System for Flyback Converters

IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, 2021
In this article, the design of a fault detection and isolation (FDI) system for a flyback converter, based on a fuzzy unknown input observer, is presented. The proposed FDI system aims to detect the saturation in the inductor core as a fault, considering the current increment can cause an avalanche effect provoking a failure in the system.

COMPLEXITY IN AN INDUSTRIAL FLYBACK CONVERTER

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 1995
In this letter a functional model of an industrial flyback converter is introduced. Its accuracy within a defined condition range is shown. The complexity of the system is discussed by using experimental data. Moreover, it is shown that the complex dynamics of a flyback converter can be clusterized in some classes of well-known paradigms appearing in ...

Design and implementation of flyback converters

2010 5th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications, 2010
In switch mode power supplies(SMPS), flyback converters are very popular because of, design simplicity, low cost, multiple isolated outputs, high output voltages and high efficiency. They are preferred especially for low power applications (150W).

Analysis of an Active-Clamp Flyback Converter

2020 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics - Taiwan (ICCE-Taiwan), 2020
This study explored the operation principles of active clamp flyback converters. A control strategy was adopted to achieve strong noise immunity, and a voltage mode was configured to attain advantages such as simple circuit design. Experiments were performed to verify the feasibility of the proposed active clamp circuit.

An improved Flyback converter

2009 6th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2009
This paper presents a modified Flyback converter able to operate with higher efficiency and smaller size, overcoming most of the conventional flyback converter drawbacks, and also keeping its low cost and simplicity. In particular, the proposed converter allows the mosfet off voltage to be reduced and clamped to the input, thus recovering the ...

Ringing of Flyback Transformers

IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 1982
In this paper the third harmonic tuning of dissipative flyback transformers is discussed and conditions for minimum ringing and rules of variation of ringing voltage are investigated as the leakage inductance is tuned near minimum ringing.
