Trap‐Modified Inverted Organic Photodetectors via Layer‐by‐Layer Processing with Poly(N‐vinylcarbazole) Additives

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Trap state engineering in inverted organic photodetectors (OPDs) is achieved via combined layer‐by‐layer (LbL) processing and poly(N‐vinylcarbazole) (PVK) incorporation. LbL reduces the trap density while PVK additives gradually shift trap states from shallow band‐edge to deep mid‐gap levels, tailoring the energy distribution.

Droplet Triboelectrification on Liquid‐Like Polymer Brushes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work investigates the triboelectrification of water droplets on polymer brush‐coated surfaces exhibiting minimal contact line pinning. Such surfaces enable the systematic study of electrode patterning and controlled changes in droplet contact area.

Least-squares estimation of capacitor voltages in flying capacitor multilevel converters

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2012
This study presents a scheme to estimate the capacitor voltages in flying capacitors multilevel converters. Proposed scheme is based on the function that links control signals, capacitor voltages and the output voltage. Measuring the output voltage and knowing the switching function applied to each commutation cell, it is possible to compose a set of ...

Alkali Ion‐Incorporated HfO2 Dielectrics for Reconfigurable Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) transistor with an alkali cation‐integrated hafnium dioxide (HfO2) dielectric exhibiting synaptic behavior via ion retention. The solution‐based film fabrication strategy overcomes the limitations of atomic layer deposition (ALD) and precursor coating, enabling the control of synaptic retention ...

Flying Capacitor Voltage Regulation for a Self-Voltage-Boosting AC Motor Drive

open access: yesIEEE Access
In order to extend motor operation range, a self-voltage-boosting AC motor drive is proposed in this paper. Compared with the traditional frontend DC-DC converters, the proposed topology reuses the power switches inherently involved within the three ...

Mesoporous Carbon Thin Films with Large Mesopores as Model Material for Electrochemical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous carbon thin films possessing 70 nm mesopores are prepared on titanium substrates by soft templating of resol resins with a self‐synthesized poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(hexyl acrylate) block copolymer. A strategy to avoid corrosion of the metal substrate is presented, and the films are extensively characterized in terms of morphology ...
