Flying-capacitor-clamped five-level inverter based on switched-capacitor topology
2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2016This paper proposed a novel flying-capacitor-clamped five-level inverter based on bridge modular switched-capacitor topology. The inverter features the switched-capacitor circuit with step-up ability and the multilevel inverter circuit with flying-capacitor-clamped performance. With the composite structure, the number of components is cut down compared

This paper proposes an improved configuration of double flying capacitor multicell (DFCM) converter. The main advantages of the proposed converter, compared to the conventional DFCM converter, are the doubling of the number of output voltage levels and improvement of the output voltage frequency spectrum.

In this paper, a new improved multilevel inverter topology on the basis of IDFCM topology is proposed. By adding three high frequency switches and one DC voltage sources, this topology is capable to generate number of the output voltage levels which multiplied further than two toward the IDFCM topology.

Observation of a flying capacitor converter
2008A switched observer design is proposed to estimate the capacitor voltages from current measurement. Based on weak Lyapunov function, a LaSalle invariance principle is used to characterize invariant set and its associated control laws for switched systems. Application to the state estimation of a power converter is given.
