Joule Heating in the Northern Hemisphere During Geomagnetic Storms Driven by High‐Speed Streams and Coronal Mass Ejections

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract We present a robust method for estimating the auroral Joule heating in the northern hemisphere by combining SuperMAG, SuperDARN and AMPERE data products. This method is applied to 292 storms during 2010–2023. Temporal evolution and spatial distributions of the storm‐time Joule heating are studied using a superposed epoch analysis, with the ...

Flywheel Energy Storage System Using Magnetic Levitation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Science and Software Engineering, 2017
This paper deals with the voltage sag compensator in a system using flywheel energy storage system technology by using partial magnetic levitation. Voltage fluctuates in a generator from second to second and due to these fluctuations, it becomes difficult to meet the consumer demand since they account to high current losses.

Performance Evaluation of an ANN‐Based Model for Hot Rolling Current Prediction: A Sensitivity and Statistical Indicator Approach

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
An ANN‐based model accurately predicts electromotor current in hot rolling by optimizing thickness reduction across passes. Statistical validation (R2 > 0.99) and sensitivity analysis reveal higher energy efficiency and process stability in thicker sheets. A novel metric offers deeper insight into deformation energy and current distribution.
