A comparison of Skylab S-193 and aircraft views of surface roughness and a look toward SEASAT [PDF]
An extensive aircraft underflight program was conducted along the Skylab groundpath for the purpose of documenting wind, wave, and atmospheric conditions affecting the amplitude of the active and passive microwave signatures.

Advanced polarimetric subsurface FM-CW radar
The subsurface radar suffers from two typical problems, i.e., strong clutter from surface and severe wave attenuation in the underground. This paper presents a unique countermeasure to these problems using a polarimetric FM-CW radar and an equivalent sensitivity time control (STC) technique.

FM-CW laser radar at 10.6 microns
The feasibility of a continuous -wave frequency-modulated radar with a CO- laser as a transmitting source was investigated. A developmental system was constructed and tested and the feasibility of an optical radar utilizing coherent detection at 10.6 microns was demonstrated.

A developmental CW FM multi-target radar.
The feasibility of an X-band (8.0-12.5 GHz) continuous-wave multiple-target radar employing linear frequency modulation was investigated. From available laboratory equipment a working model was constructed and tested. Separate parabolic antennas were used for transmitting and receiving. The transmitter employs a reflex klystron followed by low and high-
