Differential sensitivity of midline development to mitosis during and after primitive streak extension

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, Volume 255, Issue 5, Page 486-502, May 2026.
Abstract Background Midline establishment is a fundamental process during early embryogenesis for Bilaterians. Midline morphogenesis in non‐amniotes can occur without mitosis, through Planar Cell Polarity (PCP) signaling. By contrast, amniotes utilize both cellular processes for developing the early midline landmark, the primitive streak (PS).

The histone H3 lysine 36 demethylase KDM2A/FBXL11 controls Polycomb-mediated gene repression and germ cell development in male mice

open access: yesNature Communications
KDM2A/FBXL11 is a Jumonji-domain containing lysine demethylase catalyzing the removal of mono- and di-methyl modifications of histone H3 lysine 36 (H3K36me1/2).

The Eubacterium Rectale Derived Extracellular Vesicles Alleviate Cancer Cachexia Induced Lipolysis by Inhibiting Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Cancer cachexia (CC) is a complex pathological condition associated with cancer progression and poor prognosis, particularly in gastrointestinal cancers, and is closely linked to the gut microbiota. Lipolysis in CC may play a key role in driving cachexia progression.

Software for Farmers - FMIS

open access: yes, 2020
Soil and crops, as biosystems, are heterogeneous and can present (or not) high variability. To properly manages then information is required. In this respect, the latest advances in computing and electronics applied to agricultural have allowed collecting a large amount of farm-related data.

Investigation of induced Pt magnetic polarization in Pt/Y3Fe5O12 bilayers

open access: yes, 2012
Using X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) measurements, we explore the possible existence of induced magnetic moments in thin Pt films deposited onto the ferrimagnetic insulator yttrium iron garnet (Y3Fe5O12).

Body composition at 2 years of age in moderate and late preterm infants

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Volume 82, Issue 5, Page 1288-1295, May 2026.
Abstract Objectives Moderate and late preterm infants (MLPTI, gestational age 32 0/7–36 6/7 weeks) have altered body composition compared to term‐born infants, but data beyond infancy are lacking. This study aimed to assess body composition at 2 years corrected age for prematurity (CA) in MLPTI, compare it to the literature on term‐born infants, and ...

FMI: Joustoa systeemisimulointiin

open access: yesAutomaatioväylä, 2014
Simuloinnin soveltamisen pullonkaulana on jo kauan ollut ohjelmistojen välinen tiedonvaihto. Functional mock-up interface (Fmi) tuo yhtenäisen teknisen ratkaisun tähän ongelmaan ja mahdollistaa samalla aivan uusia käyttötapoja mallinnukseen.

Exploring the Role of Vascular Factors and Tissue Properties in Pulsatile Brain Deformation

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 5, May 2026.
This study combined strain tensor imaging (STI), intrinsic magnetic resonance elastography (iMRE), and atlas‐based regional metrics to explore physiological drivers of cardiac‐induced brain strain. Volumetric strain was mainly associated with vascular factors such as cerebral blood volume and pulse pressure, whereas octahedral shear strain correlated ...
