Parallel block–selective algebraic multigrid in foam‐extend
PAMM, 2019AbstractWe present an extension of a well–known classic algebraic multigrid algorithm, where coarsening is based on selection of equations, for an implicitly coupled pressure–velocity system discretised by the finite volume (FV) method. The resulting coefficient matrix of the linear system is point–ordered, and there are 4 equations for each FV cell ...

Enhanced Turbomachinery Capabilities for Foam-Extend: Development and Validation
OpenFOAM®, 2019Turbomachinery simulations represent one of the most challenging fields in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). In the recent years, the general CFD ca- pabilities of foam-extend have been extended by introducing and maintaining addi- tional features specifically needed for turbomachinery applications, with the aim of offering a high quality CFD tool ...

Spiderweb-like metal-organic framework multifunctional foam.
Angewandte Chemie, 2020Processing metal-organic-frameworks (MOFs) into hierarchical macroscopic materials can greatly extend their practical applications. However, current strategies suffer from severe aggregation of MOFs and limited tuning of the hierarchical porous network ...

Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, 2023
A shift from animal protein- to plant protein-based foods is crucial in transitioning toward a more sustainable global food system. Among food products typically stabilized by animal proteins, food foams represent a major category.

Water-blown flexible polyurethane foam extended with biomass materials
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1997Soy protein isolate, soy fiber, and cornstarch (0–40% polyether polyol) were incorporated into a flexible polyurethane foam formulation. Stress–strain curves of the control foam and foams containing 10–20% biomass material exhibit a considerable plateau stress region but not for foams extended with 30–40% biomass materials.

SLIDING WEAR SIMULATIONS IN FOAM-EXTEND
2022The presence of wear is a well-known reason for the failure of mechanical components in mechanical systems. Wear was rarely studied in detail using numerical analysis and was usually accounted for in the design stage of components by relying on complex and financially demanding experiments or engineering experience.
