Obtención de recubrimientos vitrocerámicos esponjosos sobre materiales de naturaleza férrea

open access: yesBoletín de la Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio, 2001
To obtain a glass-ceramic enamel layer on a ferrous material optimum condition, are achieved when the interface has a continuous structure (this structure is produced by the formation of oxides).

Carbon nanotubes prepared in situ in a cellular ceramic by the gelcasting-foam method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The synthesis of carbon nanotubes from an oxide solid solution foam is reported for the first time. A foam of Mg0.9Co0.1Al2O4 solid solution is prepared by the gelcasting-foam method using notably mono- and di-functional acrylate monomers.

Chemical Modification and Foam Processing of Polylactide (PLA)

open access: yesPolymers, 2019
Polylactide (PLA) is known as one of the most promising biopolymers as it is derived from renewable feedstock and can be biodegraded. During the last two decades, it moved more and more into the focus of scientific research and industrial use. It is even

Experimental evidence of flow destabilization in a 2D bidisperse foam

open access: yes, 2006
Liquid foam flows in a Hele-Shaw cell were investigated. The plug flow obtained for a monodisperse foam is strongly perturbed in the presence of bubbles whose size is larger than the average bubble size by an order of magnitude at least.

Using In Situ TEM to Understand the Surfaces of Electrocatalysts at Reaction Conditions: Single‐Atoms to Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes recent advances in closed‐cell in situ TEM strategies for accurate determination of the activity and stability of single‐atom catalyst systems during operation. Operando conditions causing dynamic changes of SAC systems are highlighted and we explain why ensemble average‐based optical techniques may benefit from the technological

Two-dimensional shear modulus of a Langmuir foam

open access: yes, 2003
We deform a two-dimensional (2D) foam, created in a Langmuir monolayer, by applying a mechanical perturbation, and simultaneously image it by Brewster angle microscopy.
