Study on Foaming Agent Foam Ability and Stability for Foam Concrete
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013Foam ability and stability of foaming agent are key factors for foam concrete properties. Through researching LAS, SDS and magnesite foaming agent commercially available, the results show that adding HPMC after can reduce LAS, SDS and magnesite foam bleeding quantity and subsidence distance and has little impact on foam expansion, magnesite foam ...

Abstract The shape, distribution, arrangement, and stability of cells in a typical foam and polycrystal are compared, and their observed dissimilarity is attributed to a fundamental difference in the structure of the two systems. In particular, it is shown that certain features of a polycrystal may be accounted for, if the surface of its grains is ...

Abstract This article reviews the general properties of liquid and solid foams; the principles underlying their preparation and stability; and the ways in which they can be broken down. It then goes on to consider how foams can be used in pharmacy; for example, to extend the period of absorption of drugs. It also discusses the use of foam flotation —

The formation of a foam by the mechanical foaming of a PVC paste
Polymer-Plastics Technology and Engineering, 2002This article deals with the problem of stability of a foam formed by the mechanical foaming of a PVC paste that is related to its rheological behavior. The efficiency of an insoluble surfactant as a foam-stabilizing agent is identified on the basis of the rheological measurement of the PVC paste.
