Welfare assessment of gas-filled foam as an agent for killing poultry [PDF]
During outbreaks of notifiable diseases in poultry measures are taken to restrict the spread of the disease. Mass on-farm killing of birds using gasfilled foam is such a measure.

Study of Foaming Properties and Effect of the Isomeric Distribution of Some Anionic Surfactants [PDF]
Using different reaction conditions of photosulfochlorination of n-dodecane, two samples of anionic surfactants of sulfonate type are obtained. Their micellar behavior has been already reported and the relationship between their isomeric distribution and

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

Foam dressings: a review of the literature and evaluation of fluid-handling capacity of four leading foam dressings [PDF]
Posnett and Franks (2008) have calculated that 200,000 people in the UK have a chronic wound, with an estimated treatment cost of between £2.3 billion and £3.1 billion per year.

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.

Thermal-Hydraulic Performance of Metal Foam Heat Exchangers [PDF]
Due to their large surface-area-to-volume ratio and tortuous structure, metal foams hold promise for heat transfer applications. Both of these factors increase the heat transfer by enhancing the mixing and surface area.
