A brief history and future directions of dielectrophoretic filtration: A review. [PDF]
Abstract Dielectrophoresis (DEP) is an electrokinetic effect first studied in the early 20th century. Since then, DEP has gained significant interest in research, owing to its ability to solve particle separation problems in various industries. Dielectrophoretic filtration (DEP filtration) is a separation method using DEP to filter a wide range of ...

FOAM GLASS GRAVEL MADE OF RECYCLED GLASS WASTE AND SILICON CARBIDE BY MICROWAVE HEATING
The paper presents recent achievements in the microwave use for manufacturing foam glass gravel from recycled glass waste and silicon carbide. The aim was to obtain a product with physical and mechanical characteristics almost similar to those of industrially manufactured materials by conventional heating techniques, but with a higher energy efficiency.

Familiarity preferences in zebrafish (Danio rerio) depend on shoal proximity. [PDF]
Abstract Individuals of many species prefer to associate with familiar conspecifics from their established social group over unfamiliar conspecifics. Such familiarity preferences are thought to be adaptive and have been documented widely in many social fishes.
