Compact laser wakefield acceleration toward high energy with micro-plasma parabola

open access: yesMatter and Radiation at Extremes
Laser wakefield acceleration (LWFA) promises compact accelerators toward the high-energy frontier. However, the approach to the 100 GeV milestone faces the obstacle of the long focal length required for optimal acceleration with high-power lasers, which ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Verification of Applicability of Long Focal MWIR Infrared Camera

open access: yesProceedings
Infrared cameras play an important role in various fields, such as research and development, and inspection and surveillance; the higher the performance of an infrared camera, the more important the specifications are. However, in the field of long-range

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Basic study on a rotary focus-tunable freeform microlens fabricated using two-photon micro stereolithography

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu
Recent advancements in two-photon micro stereolithography have enabled the fabrication of complex micro optics with freeform surfaces. However, the design of freeform microlenses for optical MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) applications remains ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Compact High-Zoom-Ratio Mid-Wavelength Infrared Zoom Lens Design Based on Particle Swarm Optimization

open access: yesSensors
This paper presents an automated method for solving the initial structure of compact, high-zoom-ratio mid-wave infrared (MWIR) zoom lenses. Using differential analysis, the focal length variation process of zoom lenses under paraxial conditions is ...
