Characteristics and seismogenic structure of the April 2024 Weishan (Yunnan, China) MS4.1 and MS4.3 double-earthquake sequence

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), two moderate earthquakes of MS 4.1 and MS 4.3 struck Weishan County, Yunnan Province, at 05:54:10 local time on 19 April 2024 and 13:05:16 local time on 24 April 2024, respectively, constituting a

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Characterization and Cross-Sectional Modeling of the Newly Identified Rawup Fault Based on Relocated Hypocenters and Focal Mechanism in South Sulawesi

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Applied Physics
This study presents an integrated seismotectonic analysis combining earthquake hypocenter relocation and P-wave polarity–based focal mechanism modeling to investigate the microseismic cluster in the Maros–Pangkep region, South Sulawesi.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Estimate The Focal Mechanism of Earthquake in Indonesia By Using 1-D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Applied Physics
Indonesia is located between three collisions of active plate tectonics (Pacific, Eurasia, and Australia), resulting in a high seismicity zone, especially along the subduction zone.

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Study on the attenuation relationship of the acceleration envelope parameters for the Wenchuan earthquake aftershocks

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
The seismic attenuation relationship between ground motion parameters (such as peak acceleration and response spectra value) and seismic parameters (such as magnitude and epicentral distance) is an important foundation for seismic hazard analysis and the

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.
