Focal Mechanism Solutions and Tectonics of the Middle America ARC
The Journal of Geology, 1978Fault plane solutions of 67 earthquakes along the Middle America arc were determined. These focal mechanisms delineate tectonic activity characteristics of a subduction zone. Focal mechanisms of shallow events beneath the trench axis indicate normal faulting resulting from initial flexure of the downgoing plate.

Focal mechanism solutions for roof collapse in deep mine
International Journal of Mining and Mineral Engineering, 2015Microseismic monitoring is an effective means of forecasting instabilities in ruptured rock masses during deep mining. Based on the complex geological conditions of a mine in Southwest China, a digital 24–channel microseismic monitoring system was established to monitor microseismic events during deep mining.

Focal-mechanism solutions of earthquakes and tectonics of the hindukush region
Tectonophysics, 1984Abstract Seventeen focal-mechanism solutions have been obtained for earthquakes occurring in the Hindukush region using P-wave first motion directions observed from short as well as long period records. These solutions have indicated a thrust type of faulting. Some of the solutions show small components of strike slip motions.
