Underpricing, underperformance and overreaction in initial public offerings : evidence from investor attention using online searches [PDF]
Online activity of Internet users has proven very useful in modeling various phenomena across a wide range of scientific disciplines. In our study, we focus on two stylized facts or puzzles surrounding the initial public offerings (IPOs) - the ...

Scale of attentional focus in visual search [PDF]
The effects of the spatial scale of attention on feature and conjunction search were examined in two experiments. Adult participants in three age groups--young, young-old, and old-old--were given precues of varying validity and precision in indicating the location of a target letter subsequently presented in a visual array.

Low Dirac Eigenmodes and the Topological and Chiral Structure of the QCD Vacuum [PDF]
Several lattice calculations which probe the chiral and topological structure of QCD are discussed. The results focus attention on the low-lying eigenmodes of the Dirac operator in typical gauge field configurations.Comment: Talk presented at the DPF2000

Putting the “Return” Back in the Inhibition of Return Effect in Working Memory
The inhibition of return effect in perception refers to the observation that one is slower to re-attend a location that was attended right before, compared to a location that was not attended right before. Johnson et al. (2013, Psych. Sc., 24, 1104–1112,

Mood, Attention, and the Aha! Moment [PDF]
Although research has generally shown that positive affect broadens attentional scope and enhances creativity, recent evidence suggests that the mood-attention relationship depends on the present dominant attentional focus.

Color Perception and Attentional Load in Dynamic, Time-Constrained Environments
The capacity to perceive color in the peripheral field has attracted research interest for more than a decade. There is evidence that sensitivity to red-green color variations is lower than for yellow-blue in peripheral vision.
