Focusing Airborne Ultrasound with Partially Occluded Emission from Rectangular Plate with Flexural Vibration Mode [PDF]
We propose a focusing method of intense midair ultrasound out of ultrasonic emission from a single flexurally vibrating square plate partially covered with a purposely designed amplitude mask. Many applications relying on nonlinear acoustic effects, such as radiation force employed in acoustic levitation, have been devised.

The non‐fullerene acceptor o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV is used in both binary and ternary blends to investigate the role that it plays in each device architecture. The charge generation pathways are found to differ between the binary and ternary blends with o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV becoming a second donor in the ternary blend.

Sonochemical Functionalization of Glass
A new method for functionalizing glass using ultrasonication of aryl diazonium salts. Aryl radicals generated by ultrasounds react with glass, forming a stable, covalently bonded organic film. The functionalized glass adheres microorganisms such as microalgae, fungi, and bacteria, suggesting potential applications in enzyme production, filtration ...

A Review of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound
For 80 years, high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) has been the subject of interest in medical research. It is a non-invasive procedure that causes the death of cells in a very select area through one of two mechanisms, either heat or cavitation ...

Ultrasound SAM Adapter: Adapting SAM for Breast Lesion Segmentation in Ultrasound Images [PDF]
Segment Anything Model (SAM) has recently achieved amazing results in the field of natural image segmentation. However, it is not effective for medical image segmentation, owing to the large domain gap between natural and medical images. In this paper, we mainly focus on ultrasound image segmentation.
