Suture fixation of a foldable acrylic intraocular lens for ectopia lentis
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2002A 5-year-old boy with severe ectopia lentis had bilateral lensectomy and suture fixation of a foldable acrylic intraocular lens (IOL) through a 3.0 mm clear corneal incision. Sodium hyaluronate (Healon GV) enhanced stability of the crystalline lens during aspiration and maintenance of the anterior chamber during passage of the needles through the ...

[Secondary foldable intraocular lens implantation].
[Zhonghua yan ke za zhi] Chinese journal of ophthalmology, 1999To investigate the effectiveness and technique of secondary foldable intraocular lens implantation. The silicone intraocular lens was implanted secondarily in 25 aphakic eyes with intact posterior capsule and zonules or capsule rupture at central zone through a 3.5 mm sutureless scleral tunnel incision.21 of the eyes (84%) achieved a uncorrected visual ...

Foldable acrylic intraocular lens with distended haptics for transscleral fixation
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2009We describe a foldable acrylic intraocular lens (IOL) with distended haptics suitable for transscleral fixation and the insertion procedure. The IOL has an acrylic optic and poly(methyl methacrylate) haptics with a microscopic indentation 1.3 mm from the tip.

Prewound Assisted Technique for Hydrophobic Foldable Intraocular Lens Implantation
European Journal of Ophthalmology, 2017Purpose To describe a technique for intraocular lens (IOL) implantation that lessens the degree of surgical invasiveness by implanting a tightly rolled IOL through a small incision without touching the eye with the cartridge tip. Methods

Placement of a secondary foldable intraocular lens over a capsule remnant
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 1998A bilaterally aphakic patient received a silicone intraocular lens (IOL) over an intact capsular bag. The fellow eye had a large capsule rupture. Implantation of a 3-piece silicone IOL was attempted over the capsule remnant and achieved without complication. One year postoperatively, the IOL remained stable.

[A clinical investigation on foldable intraocular lens implantation].
[Zhonghua yan ke za zhi] Chinese journal of ophthalmology, 1999The results of phacoemulsification (phaco) operations which were performed with 3.2 mm incision and foldable intraocular lens (IOL) implantation were reviewed. On forty-nine eyes with cataract of forty-two cases phaco and foldable IOL implantation was randomly performed.
