Repeated, Foliar Applications of Herbicides on Johnsongrass
Weed Science, 1969The responses of established, spaced-planted strains of johnsongrass (Sorghum halepense (L.) Pers.) to repeated, foliar applications of herbicides were studied under irrigated desert conditions. Monosodium methanearsonate (MSMA) and disodium methanearsonate (DSMA) were the most effective herbicides.

SELENIUM ENRICHMENT OF CROPS THROUGH FOLIAR APPLICATIONS
Canadian Journal of Soil Science, 1988A field study was conducted, at two locations on Prince Edward Island, over a 5-yr period to determine the effects of foliar applications of sodium selenite on the Se concentration in barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) grain and in alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) and timothy (Phleum pratense L.) foliage.

Foliar application and uptake of selenium extracted from ryegrass
Journal of Plant Nutrition, 1992Abstract In a pot experiment a water extract from ryegrass (Lolium perenne) containing 21 mg/L selenium (Se) was sprayed on ryegrass, and the uptake of Se was compared with the uptake of Se applied as sodium selenite. The amount of Se recovered from the plants (0 to 53 mg/kg) was a linear function of the amount of Se applied (0 to 130 g/ha), both for ...

Foliar application of fungicides in soybean

Concepts and applications of foliar spray for microbial inoculants
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2018Damages of the (agro)ecosystem by extensive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the global dying of bee populations possibly linked to pesticide spraying, and stricter regulations for pesticide use together with successful use of microbials in IPM programs are pushing on the development and commercialization of new microbial products and a ...

Selenium fertilizers and foliar application, Danish experiments.
Annals of clinical research, 1986In 1963 Se-deficiency was observed for the first time in Denmark in a few sheep in West Jutland. The sheep were cured by injection of "Tokosel", and a survey of the Se-status of Danish fodder crops was initiated. A comprehensive set of data was produced during the early 70's, using the fluorometric method.

Application technology for entomopathogenic nematodes against foliar pests
Crop Protection, 1996Abstract The aim of the present work was to investigate the efficacy of different spray methods (standard fan and full cone hydraulic nozzles and a spinning disc) for the application of infective juveniles (IJs) of Steinernema carpocapsae against insect pests on foliage.

Soybean Insect Control with Foliar Applications, 1982
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1984Abstract Forrest variety soybean was planted 18 June at the West Tenn. Exp. Stn., Jackson, Tenn. Four-row plots 40 ft long were replicated four times in a randomized complete block design, pretreatment samples (two-25 sweep samples per replicate) were taken 27 Aug. Insecticides were applied immediately with a four-row boom at the rate of

Evaluation of Adhesives for Foliar Application of Chemicals
Forest Science, 1968Abstract Thirty-nine commercial adhesives were evaluated for their ability to form weather-resistant films for retaining chemical repellents on coniferous trees. Fifteen were rejected because of poor film retention in accelerated weathering tests or because they could not be formulated as 10-percent solids in water.
